What is the Longest English Word?

Well, I can’t certainly pronounce it for you because it will have to take me more than three hours (three and a half to be exact if you don’t mess it up in the middle)  just to speak it out loud. The Longest Word in the World  is the Chemical name of titin. It consists of 189,819 letters. Just imagine trying to memorize it for your Chemistry exam. Anyway if you’re interested in hearing it spoken out loud, just watch the video of this guy speaking the longest English word, if you have the patience and three and a half hours of free time.

  1. De is not reading the name of the compound!
He is reading its amino acide sequence!
That’s not the same thing, it’s like reading a book letter by letter…
