Remotely Download Files to your Computer by Using DropBox and URL Droplet

What do you normally do when you come across a file that you need to download while you’re outside? The easiest way to remember a download link is to save it to your email and download it later. But, what if you can save a lot of time (especially for large files) by downloading the file straight to your computer while you’re outside and check it when you get home?

By using the DropBox service and URL Droplet, you can easily copy a download link and let DropBox do the downloading for you. All you need to do is give URL Droplet access to your DropBox account, paste the download link to URL Droplet and the download will begin.

You can download from anywhere, café, office or a friend’s house and not wait for it to finish. You can even use your Phone to copy the download link, paste it to Save URL Droplet, close the phone and expect the file to be on your computer when you get home (provided that you left your computer open and online or).

http://www.sidecloudload.com is a much better resource. It has better security, ability to sideload to any dropbox directory or create a new one, and has a robust customizable bookmarklet. Plus you can also download directly to your email.
