YouRepeat: Loop a YouTube Video

May 24th, 2010 | 3 Comments | Posted in Tips N Tricks

YouRepeat is a web tool that you can use to repeat a YouTube video. Now, why would you need a loop tool for YouTube? Beats me, but if you do, this is the tool to use.

You can use the tool in three ways. There’s the search bar on their website that you can use to search for YouTube videos to auto-repeat. Then, there’s easier way. If you happen to be watching a video on YouTube, and really liked it enough that you want to set it on auto-loop/auto-repeat, simply replace the “Tube” on YouTube with the world “repeat.” It will turn the YouTube video URL into a YouRepeat URL which is linked to the video that you are watching. All that’s left for you to do is sit back and enjoy the looping video. If you don’t like the tedious job of altering video URL’s, you can use the YouRepeat bookmarklet. Like any bookmarklets, simply drag it on your bookmarks toolbar and whenever you feel that you should loop a video, just press the bookmarklet and loop away.

YouRepeat is a simple tool but it could prove to be useful to anyone who enjoys listening to music or watching music videos on YouTube. Instead of pressing the play button over and over again, you can simply press a repeat bookmarklet and watch/listen to your favorite video to your heart’s content.

TubeOke: Sing Along with YouTube Videos

March 9th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in Tips N Tricks

Tired of watching music videos online and searching for the lyrics at the same time? It can be such a pain when you want to see the video play while singing along to it and you and you just can’t seem to remember the lyrics. You’ll have to search for the lyrics on another browser window and place it side by side the playing video, or else you’ll only hear the music while reading the lyrics.

TubeOke is an online solution for people who are looking for music videos and lyrics at the same time. You can watch the video play and get an instant copy of the lyrics on the side. Use the site as you normally search YouTube. Enter the artist or the song title and hit return/enter. Choose from the video thumbnails and you’re all set. You can sing and watch the video at the same time.

The site is very simple and easy to use. If you’re expecting to see a Video Oke style presentation, then you are mistaken. It only displays the lyrics along the video. You don’t get to see streaming lyrics that plays along with the video timeline. That being said, it will still save you some time if you wish to sing along to a music video on YouTube. No need to search for the lyrics on other websites.

FlixTime: Quick Video Maker with Transition Effects

March 5th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in Technology

FlixTime is a video app that lets you create a video file slide out of photos, video clips and text. You can publish a video slide with transition effects in (3) three easy steps and in about (3) three minutes. The service is absolutely free and as soon as you finished signing up for an account, you’ll be able to start creating your 60 second video immediately.

To create a Flix video, just add photos/videos, music and text. Click on the “Add Photos/Videos” button, and you’ll be presented with two choices: Upload and Media Lounge. You can upload images from your computer to Flixtime, or select stock photos from the Media Lounge. You’ll also be presented with the same choices for the “Add Music” — upload your own music, or choose from our stock music collection! To create a text slide, simply click “Add Text Slide”, and enter your text in the “main text” and “subtext” fields.

You can move and organize images by simply clicking, dragging and dropping the image to the place in the timeline that you’d like it to appear. You can also rotate and duplicate images using the video creator. The effects and transitions are automatically generated by their system, and every time you render, a new and unique video is generated.

What I like about FlixTime is that it doesn’t limit you to just create videos online. You can download the created videos so that you can use them offline and on different devices. You’ll have a choice of MP4, DivX, H.264 and FLV files, all in 640 x 360 resolution, and a smaller MP4 file (320x x 240) for iPods and other portable video players.

FlixTime allowed files for upload:

• Video: avi, mpg, flv, wmv and mov files, maximum file size and resolution: 75MB

• Audio: mp3 files, maximum file size and length: 15MB

• Photos: jpeg, gif and png files, maximum file size: 7MB
