We recently featured Templates.com here at Orangeinks. It’s a credit based web marketplace for buying and selling web templates and digital art. Since the service is quite new, they are currently looking for a slogan that they can use for the company. In order to accomplish this, they are holding a contest for the best slogan that fits Templates.com. The contest is for everybody, so feel free to share your ideas and give it a shot.

Contest Details:

All you have to do is visit their site Templates.com and browse around. Think of a slogan that best fits the company. Head over to Templates.com blog and post your created slogan in their contest post. The contest starts on July 15th 2008 (Now), and the results will be announced at the beginning of August. Each participant of this contest who has an account on Templates.com will get 4 credits, so everyone will win!

Tip: If you do not have an account in Templates.com, you can register first before entering the contest. This way you can benefit from the free credits for Templates.com users who joined the contest.

1st place: $100 in cash

Templates.com: A Credit Based Marketplace for Web Templates and Digital Art

Templates.com is a credit based marketplace for beautifully crafted Website Templates, 3D models, illustrations and icon sets. Web and graphic designers can showcase their creations on Templates.com and can sell their web masterpieces on a credit based system.

Buyers can purchase credits directly from Templates.com and get a 1 to 1 value for their Dollar. The exchange rate for the virtual credits in Templates.com is 1 US Dollar for every credit. Web and flash templates are sold for an average of 60 credits a piece. 3D models and Digital illustrations are however sold at a much lower price which goes from 5 credits to 7 for most. The user account will be credited each time an artwork is sold. Earning withdrawal can me made if at least 100 credits is present in the seller account. Earned credits may also be used for buying other Templates.com products.

There is one note that sellers should take when uploading their work in Templates.com. For new sellers, each submission will be reviewed by the Templates.com team for approval. Once approved a few times, only then will the submitters work will be given automatic approval by the system. This is a way of taking precautions as not to infest the service with crappy stuff for sale and result to leading the buyers away. Maintaining quality products is important for the service and will also give other sellers a fair treatment with regards to making and selling quality artworks.

The service accepts payment methods from Paypal, Moneybookers and PayQuake. There is no expiration date for credits saved in your Templates.com account. You can use them anytime you want or keep them safely stored in your templates.com account for future use.

A Monster 4TH of July Lottery from Template Monster

Template Monster is an ecommerce site which produces high quality custom made templates for different web platforms. Their goal is to produce quality and affordable web design products and services. The company currently shoulders over 5000 different website template designs and produces an average figure of 150 to 200 affordable web designs per month. They design web templates for different platform and purposes, from CMS and blog templates to Ecommerce and Flash websites.

This year, they are hosting a “themed” lottery for everyone. The holiday (4th of July) Template Monster lottery will be somewhat related to the upcoming Presidential Elections in the United States. They are going to hold their own elections. The only difference is that you will not be voting for the next president of the U.S. You will be voting for the best template design that you consider to be better for America-The-Beautiful.
