Get a Fake / Non-Existent Girlfriend to Text and Call You

Are you embarrassed by the fact that you don’t have a girlfriend? Do you need to quickly get out of social gatherings and want a girlfriend alibi? Well, all you need to do is follow these instructions:

1. Save (212) 804-6979 to your phone under your “girlfriend’s” name.

2. When you’re out with your friends, send a text to the FakeGirlfriend number.

3. FakeGirlfriend will respond with a random girlfriend-esque message.

4. About a minute later, FakeGirlfriend will call you with a pre-recorded message.

5. After you hang up, tell everyone how great your “girlfriend” is.

This Fake Girlfriend might come in handy in the future so better save it on your phonebook.

Android: Use Any Browser to Send and Receive (SMS) Text Messages

BrowserTexting is an Andriod app that will enable you to send and receive text messages (SMS) on your browser. This app will work on any Android Phone with version 2.2 or higher. You’ll be able to send and receive messages through your current mobile number via your Android Phone.

 

How it works:

Simply download the BrowserTexting Android app and go to the BrowserTexting website. After installing the app on your phone, connect your browser and Android mobile. You can scan the QR code found on BrowserTexting to connect your phone with the current browser that you are using. Your phone will be paired with your browser until you close your browser. You can send text messages for as long as your browser is paired with your phone.

If you don’t want to constantly pair your phone with your browser, you’re going to have to use a Chrome Browser and a BrowserTexting Chrome Extension. If you’re default (favorite) browser is Chrome, then you’ll have less trouble with the BrowserTexting app. You’ll also be able to get popup alerts every time someone sends you a text message (SMS).

Site Down? Get Notified when it’s Up Again or when it Goes Down

Is your favorite site down for maintenance or having server problems? Here’s a quick way to find out when it will go online. DingIt’sUp is a micro site which allows you to get notified when a website will come back from the dead after a downtime.

To use the service, just enter the URL of the website you want to track. You can choose whichever of the three ways for DingIt’sUp to get in touch with you. You can either get notified via email, SMS (text message) or Twitter.

This is a neat tool for site owners, who experiences downtimes with their sites due to whatever reason. They can get notification the moment that their site is up again or when it goes down. Users can also save time waiting for their favorite sites to go up again, constantly refreshing the page and hoping that it will go online. Just do some something else or go out, have fun. Wait for the notification. Twitter users will find this service very interesting. Get notified via Twitter when it (Twitter) comes back live again? Why not.

Archive your IM Messages Online Using Dexrex

Dexrex is an online solution for IM users who wants to easily archive their IM conversations online. Users will never have to worry about their archived conversations to be deleted in the event of a computer crash. Remembering to backup archived conversations is tough work for novice users and often given low priority even by advanced users.

This is perfect for heavy IM users who are very concerned with their IM conversations. Some of those IM conversations contain important phone numbers, website links and other important and treasured messages from friends and family. Dexrex aims to end that worry of having to lose your treasured IM moments. Dexrex is also a place where you can upload your existing conversations saved in your hard drive.

Registration is not needed in order to start using Dexrex. All you have to do is login using your IM account username and password. There is no sign up because when you type in your information it automatically checks with your IM Network to make sure the screen name and password is a match. Since you own your screen name and password, you confirm this account. You also need to download and install the Dexrex IM plugin for it to recognize what IM you are using. This will enable Dexrex to log your IM conversations in your Dexrex account. You can also link multiple IM accounts together in one single Dexrex account. That way you only have to login using one IM account to see your other IM logs in Dexrex. If you think your regular screen name’s password is too easy to guess, you can always add extra security by turning on the Lockdown feature.

Dexrex works only on Windows 2k, XP and Vista. It supports Pidgin, AIM Lite/Pro, Skype, Yahoo Messenger, Trillian, Digsby, Miranda, Instantbird, Meca, Mercury, Emesene and aMSN chat clients. Supported networks include AOL Instant Messenger, Google Talk, Jabber, Windows Live, Skype, Yahoo Messenger and Blackberry (SMS).

A share feature is also available in the service. You can easily do this by clicking the share button just below the conversation bubble. Dexrex will automatically generate a public URL for the selected conversation. This page can be publicly viewed by people you shared the link with. Just be careful in using the share feature. You don’t want your most private conversations fall into the
wrong hands.

Dexrex is a useful tool for saving your chat conversations and easily sharing them.
