KnockinLive.Com: Live Video Sharing App for Apple/iPhone and Android Users

April 20th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in Technology

KnockingLive is a phone app which allows you to instantly share a live feed video with friends. This benefits both iPhone and Android users as of this moment. KnockingLive is also planning on making the app compatible with BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile and Palm phones.

All you need to do is to download the app from the AppStore if you are an iPhone user and get it from the Android MarketPlace if you have an android phone. Once downloaded and installed, you can immediately “knock” on your friends’ phones and begin your real time video feed.

What makes KnockingLive very interesting is that it supports both Android and Apple. Users of both platforms (and soon other phone OS) will be able to share and receive video feeds. If you have an Andriod Phone, you don’t need to get an iPhone just to see what the other guy is streaming from his iPhone. All you need is the app and you can view video feeds from anyone you are in contact with.

LG Watch Phone Hands-on

January 6th, 2008 | Comments Off | Posted in Technology

Engadget took time showing us another cool technological piece, its a watch phone from LG. Though it still is a prototype and not yet ready for the market, they had shown us some photos and even a hands-on video to drool at. The gadget comes with three buttons located at the bottom (the middle button does the scroll-action) and a user interface monitor showing the phone menu. The hands-on video shows us how to operate the gadget, dialing the numbers and making a call, scrolling the menu up and down and selecting the desired option using just the three buttons at the bottom. You can hear audible sounds and warning tones as you press the buttons just like any other ordinary phones. It has even a Bluetooth, though Engadget wasn’t able to test how it works. Take a glimpse on this.

The Nokia Eco Sensor Phone Concept

December 10th, 2007 | 1 Comment | Posted in Technology

phone.jpg

152x90_sense_your_world.jpgA new concept phone was announced by the cellphone giant Nokia. Its a mobile phone that keeps track of your health and environment. You can also share the environmental data your sensing device collects and view other users’ shared data, thereby increasing your global environmental awareness. It’s like an Eco social networking phone :D .

The concept of the phone consists of two parts. A wearable sensor unit which can sense and analyze your environment, health, and local weather conditions, and a dedicated mobile phone. The carrying strap used in the Nokia Eco Sensor Concept were made from solar cells which will provide power to the sensor unit.

The design is a winner on my book, it’s simple and minimal yet gives you that cool factor. Nokia said that both the phone and the sensor unit will be as compact as possible to minimize material use, and those materials used in the design will be renewable and/or reclaimed. Technologies used inside the phone and sensor unit will also help save energy.
