A Tiny Note: Make Notes Using Google Talk

March 8th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in Tips N Tricks

A Tiny Note is a simple service that allows you to save tiny notes using Google Talk. It’s as easy as typing a chat message on Google Talk. It’s like having an instant assistant that’s easily accessible in a click of a chat buddy.

How it works:

Simply login to A Tiny Note using your Google Account. Add the ATN username to your Google Talk or any other third party chat clients that supports GTalk such as Pidgin or Digsby. All that’s left for you to do now is to create your first note by sending the ATN bot a chat message and the message/note will be instantly saved on your account. You can retrieve you notes by logging-in to your Tiny Note account.

You don’t need to login to A Tiny Note every time in order to save your notes. The only time you’ll need to login is when you want to retrieve your saved notes. Just chat the Tiny Note bot whenever you wish to save a thought or two. Or, you can use the website’s note tool but it takes away the effectiveness of the service, which is to use Google Talk for saving short notes.

You can also tag your notes which will come in handy if you are going to use the service a lot. It will make it easier for you to search for them by properly tagging them.

A Tiny Note is powered by Google App Engine and was developed by Joe Xu. If you’re looking for a fast way to save notes without hassle, check out A Tiny Note.

BuddyFuse Integrates Twitter and Google Talk into Windows Live Messenger

October 29th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Technology

BuddyFuseBuddyFuse is a tool that you can download to enhance your Windows Live Messenger by integrating Twitter and Google Talk into it. If you are generally a Windows Messenger user, you’ll find the enhancement quite convenient. You’ll be able to see your Google Talk contacts and update your Twitter account through your Live Messenger.

To use the tool, simply download the enhancement (exe file) and install it on your Windows powered machine. The next step is to associate your Google Talk and Twitter account with your Windows Live Messenger. Once logged-in, you can chat with your Google Talk contacts and make Twitter updates without accessing their browser based apps.

Buddy Fuse is an alternative way of integrating several chat service and social networking sites into a single chat client. The tool only supports Google Talk and Twitter as of this moment. Hopefully, it will support other chat networks such as Yahoo and Facebook in the future.

Watch the demo video below

You can also use other alternative software that let you access several chat services and social networks into a single chat client. I use Pidgin to access several Google accounts together with Yahoo accounts. I also use to get Plurk and Twitter updates. There’s also Digsby and other multi-protocol chat clients that you can use.
