Speed Dial Chrome Extension Makes your Chrome Browser Look Better

If you think that your Google Chrome Browser looks already awesome, wait till you try out this Chrome Plugin called Speed Dial. The Google Chrome extension Speed Dial just got an update by adding custom site logos for your speed dials and plenty of other customization settings to make your browser start page look great.

Instead of getting the usual snapshot thumbnail of the mostly visited sites on your Google Chrome, you can easily bookmark your favorite sites using the plugin. You can also set the number of dials (from 1 to 36) in the page, select your desired theme and background image. And in this update, you get to choose the logo that will appear on your Speed Dial, thus, making your favorite browser look awesome.

The Google Chrome Mailer

Already made the switch to Google Chrome? If you have, then most probably you are using Gmail as your primary email. Here’s a Chrome application which will automatically open a Gmail compose window once you clicked a mail-to link in your Chrome browser.

The software is called Chrome Mailer. The application is a very small 212 KB. It requires a .NET 2.0 Framework installed in your XP machine for it to work.

Now, it runs on Vista as well, but please note, you need administrator rights to install, and if you have UAC (User Account Control) enabled, it will pop up error messages, because the lack of a $399 digital signature for “Works with Windows Vista” Program.

So if you don’t want to be nagged by vista on every click, think twice about using this software. It goes without saying that Chrome Mailer works best in XP but only, that is if you are not using other email clients such as Thunderbird or Outlook.
