Minus: A Minimalist Drag and Drop Sharing Platform

Minus is a file sharing app where you can simply and easily drop files from your desktop to your browser. Yes, just drag the file (pictures, documents, music, videos, etc.) from any folder on your computer and drop it on the Min.us website.

Registration in Minus is optional. You can immediately share a file upon dragging it to the minus interface. However, creating a Min.us account has a few perks:

• You can have own Profile at http://min.us/u/yourusername.

• You can follow and subscribe to other users to see their latest galleries via home page.

• You can publish your galleries onto your profile for your followers and fans. (Your galleries will always be private by default)

• You can track your own galleries from anywhere on the go.

All the uploaded files are kept indefinitely unless deleted by the user or if it goes against their TOS (terms of service). The size limit currently is 50 MB per item and there can be a max of 50 items per gallery. This may not be much as but it is certainly suitable for quick sharing images, documents and short videos. Plus, they promise to upgrade the current size and item limit in the future.

 

*Minus works on Firefox and Chrome browsers, and supports Windows, Mac, Linux and Android operating systems. (iOS and Blackberry support coming soon)

Stiqr: A Code-Free Website Design Tool

Stiqr is actually a widget for your webite. The WYSIWYG editor lets you design your site in a stick and place (drag and drop) fashion. What’s great about the service is that it works on all websites including WordPress, Blogger and Tumblr.

The next step is to Refresh the page and press shift+F2 to activate the Stiqr interface. From there, set a password and login to your Stiqr.

Petizens: Drag and Drop Social Networking Site for Pets and Owners

petizensPetizens is a social networking site for pets and their owners. The service allows the user/pet owner to create and customize a special page for their pet(s) by simply clicking and dragging elements to their social networking page.

Joining the social network is easy and only takes a few seconds of your time. Adding profile information is another story. Once registered you’ll need to do is to create a profile for your pet. Aside from the usual fields like name, breed and color – you can also add a special status of for your pet. You can tell your friends if your pet is Missing, Adoptable, For Sale or Deceased. This will add all a little more information on the status of your pet. It can be useful in helping you locate your lost pet or find new owners for young pets. The next step is to add a photo (videos can be added later) of your pet which you can tag, add titles and captions. The last step is to customize your pet’s profile page which can easily be done by click and drag.
